Pickled vegetables, mustard creme fraiche, toast. $18
Waxman’s Restaurant, San Francisco CA
This was very tasty, even though there wasn’t much salmon to be had. I really liked the salad with pickled veggies too!

Shrimp, calamari and pork crepe with fresh herbs and lettuce. $11
Mau, San Francisco CA
I’ve never had this before, and it was delicious! There was so much stuff inside this omelet-like crepe and it tasted great when covered in fish sauce. I would definitely order this again!

Goat cheese, marinara, pesto, fonduta. $15
Waxman’s Restaurant, San Francisco CA
This large meatball was really tasty! It was moist and tender and I loved the fonduta poured on top with the pesto. Delicious!

“Wrap and Roll” pork vermicelli noodle roll and fresh lettuce with nuoc cham dipping sauce. $6.60
Mekong Kitchen, San Francisco CA
These were different from other imperial rolls. The fried wrapper of the roll had a different texture than I’m used to and the roll itself tasted mostly of oil. I don’t think this was my favorite.

With celery sticks. Happy hour $8
Alibi Azul, Palm Springs CA
Now these were proper spicy wings! I loved the heat and they were super saucy just how I liked them. I’ll be back for these babies, noms!

Half an order. Happy hour $10
Alibi Azul, Palm Springs CA
This was buttery, greasy, and very cheesy. I’m sure it is horrible for you, but I certainly enjoyed it. It was like have a spinach and artichoke dip on top of flatbread. Yum!

Fried tubes and tentacles. $12
Haystack Pizza, San Francisco CA
These were pretty greasy, tough and chewy, and oddly bland. So I guess it’s safe to say that I did not like them one bit. Ew!

Crispy fried rolls filled with ground pork, taro, carrots and silver noodles. $6.50
Laksa, San Francisco CA
These were decent. I’m sure they would have been much better straight out of the fryer. They were a little limp once they made it to the house from delivery. They were oddly bland though.

$9
Haystack Pizza, San Francisco CA
These were a disappointment. They were neither spicy nor buffalo. The were just plain fried chicken wings and kinda dry. #foodfail

Herbed goat cheese, smoked almonds. $7
Starbelly, San Francisco CA
Mmm, this was very tasty! I will say that the beets were on the verge of being overdone, but they tasted great especially with the goat cheese and smoked almonds.

Smothered in Roaster Fire sauce. Served with buttermilk ranch dressing, garnished with carrots and celery. $12.50
Sharps RoastHouse, SeaTac WA
These were dry, tough, and really gross! I can’t believe that a restaurant would purposefully server this crap. Either the chicken was really old or they just don’t know how to prepare their food. Yuck!

1 pound bite size end cuts of pork ribs served with side of bbq sauce. $8.99
Big E Ales, Lynnwood WA
Hmm, these were really tough and dry. I guess I appreciated that they were on the lean side, but that also meant they lacked flavor and moisture. Not my favorite.
