What was I thinking ordering this super heavy burger? It was delicious, but super rich and large! I wasn’t very hungry at the time so perhaps this wasn’t the best choice. I will say that the patty had a weird texture. It was very crumbly underneath the sear and fell apart quite easily. The Buffalo shrimp was great though!

These fries were delicious, but they got soggy as they cooled down.

Gun powder room at Fort Moultrie
Gun powder room at Fort Moultrie. In the middle of the Fort, they had a reconstructed powder house containing barrels of gun powder. You can’t go inside, but I snapped this pic through the bars of the door window.

Coast Boy King double IPA – Poe’s Tavern

Coast Boy King double IPA - Poe's Tavern

A highly hopped, yet still balanced, double IPA. Multiple hop varieties, emphasizing Citra Hops, were used. We’re lovin’ the tropical goodness of this hop variety! 9.7% abv. Seasonal. Coast Brewing Company. $10

They had a limited quantity in the area of the Boy King beer during this trip so I couldn’t pass it up. I’m no beer expert but this was good – definitely on the hoppier side.

Canon at Fort Moultrie
Canon at Fort Moultrie. Didn’t get a chance to check out Fort Sumter, but it was a beautiful day and Fort Moultrie was near Poe’s Tavern so I was able to check out this smaller, older fort.
