Harvey’s mess skillet – Harvey’s

Harvey's mess skillet - Harvey's
Eggs scrambled with green peppers, spinach, ham, bacon, tomatoes, onion, jack cheese and home fries, topped with sour cream. Served with wheat toast. $11.95
Harvey’s, San Francisco CA

Yuck, I really don’t like Harvey’s because the food is always just marginal and everything seems to taste like it was either frozen or from a can. My friend wanted to meet here for brunch so I couldn’t avoid the place. This skillet was actually ok as far as their food goes, probably because there was enough random ingredients to hide their poor cooking. Way too much food though, even for me. 🙂

The Mission grilled cheese sandwich – The Melt

The Mission grilled cheese sandwich - The Melt
Pepper jack cheese and jalapeño on sourdough (with braised short rib added). Served with a pickle and chips. $6.95
The Melt, San Francisco CA

Ugh, I don’t know what I was thinking! I was craving an afternoon snack and ended up with this instead. I think this constitutes more than a mere snack. Anyway, it was still very tasty and totally hit the spot. Perhaps I didn’t really need the short rib add-on, but I wanted the protein. Hehe.
