Rita’s Italian Ice, Washington DC
Hmm, this was nice and fun but also very sugary. I liked the idea, but it wasn’t my favorite because I just felt like I overdosed on sweetness. Maybe it was just the flavors I chose. Hmm…

SLS Las Vegas Hotel, Las Vegas NV
These beignets were decent. They could have been more fluffy, but they tasted great and I loved the clean presentation.

With chocolate sauce. $7
Umami Burger, Las Vegas NV
This tasted old and the cookie was hard and dry. I didn’t like it very much. Umami, you’ve failed me!

2 beef patties, cheese, bacon, tomato, lettuce. $4.19
Dairy Queen, Port Orchard WA
This was my nephew’s birthday cake and it looks pretty crazy. He plays soccer, baseball, and track so apparently they tried to fit everything in. I’ll just say that it definitely tasted better than it looked, lol!

French meringue cookies paired with Meyer lemon ice cream rolled in toasted pistachios. $4
Parfait Ice Cream, Seattle WA
This delicate sandwich was good. I wish the ice cream was creamier though. It was on the icy side, but the flavors were spot on.

Lemon custard ice cream with vanilla cream oreo cookies. Single $3.60
Mitchell’s Ice Cream, San Francisco
Lemon AND cookies, yum! This was delicious and the cookie bits were a great texture with the bright lemon ice cream. I love Mitchell’s!

Carrot cake, chocolate cake, coffee ice cream with strawberries, apple pie, cheesecake. Seafood buffet $24.99
Oasis Buffet, Palm Springs CA
Meh, another plate of sub par desserts. Nothing was especially good or tasty. I did like the ice cream and fruit the most though.

Cookies, cakes, puddings, apple crumble. Seafood buffet $24.99
Oasis Buffet, Palm Springs CA
Ugh, these were kinda gross and a waste. I don’t know why I even try the desserts at buffets because they’re invariably pretty bad.

Single scoop $4
Humphry Slocombe, San Francisco CA
Mmm, this tasted great. I don’t always like the textures of their ice cream at Humphry Slocombe but this was good. The peanut butter and curry were an interesting combination, but it was surprising tasty!

Cream cheese icing, buttermilk ice cream, walnuts, fennel. $10
Farallon, San Francisco CA
This was probably the most moist carrot cake I’ve ever had, and that’s a good thing! I will say that with the cream cheese icing and the buttermilk ice cream, it got really heavy after a few bites. I think they could have kept this simpler and it would have been better.

How can you go wrong with boozy ice cream – noms! This tasted great and it had a great milky texture that was on the denser side.
