Omg, this duck was amazing especially the skin! It was so juicy and flavorful, and they slice it tableside and serve all parts of the duck. We also got the condiments so had a nice variety of toppings and sauces to wrap our roast duck with. A visit to Da Dong for their roast duck is a definite must when visiting Beijing!

This dish tasted great. The beef was nice and tender and the sauce was very tasty (not too salty). Again, the vegetables (shallots) weren’t what I expected. These were more like onions and other alliums than shallots to me. But it doesn’t really matter because they were delicious regardless.

I wasn’t expected thick medallions of eggplant in when we ordered this dish, but it tasted really good and I loved the stacked presentation with the anise pods and roasted garlic. The braised eggplant had a rich flavor and the sauce was great.

Omg, these were SO delicious, pretty, and fun to eat! The bright red balls are the foie gras covered in a sweet coating. The lighter balls are actual fruit (but not actually cherries). This was served cold and they tasted great. I loved how they were made to look like really fruit. Cute!
