Zuppa toscana – Olive Garden

Zuppa toscana - Olive Garden
Spicy sausage, kale and russet potatoes in creamy broth.
Olive Garden, Martinsburg WV

Why me?! I was dragged to Olive Garden by some co-workers who wanted to eat some “good” Italian food, lol! This soup was marginal. It was very salty and not very exciting.

  1. I ended up being taken there by my son and his gf for a birthday dinner…I think the food is pretty marginal and I was surprised at how expensive it all was! I’m not sure how they seem to be packed with people all the time!

  2. I worked for the OG as a bartender for almost a year — many things on the menu are salty and cheesy! I think that’s kind of their signature taste – starting with breadsticks slathered in liquid butter and drizzled in garlic salt, followed by offering cheese on EVERYTHING! My biggest recommendation is to try the seasonal Toasted Marshmallow martini – it’s the perfect dessert 😘

    • No offense, but that martini sounds absolutely horrible, lol! 🙂 I’m not a huge dessert fan so super sweet cocktails don’t usually do it for me. On the other hand, I will try anything once so maybe this will be a “sweet” surprise! I’ll search for it the next time I’m at an OG. 😉

        • Yeah, I don’t think the orange slice makes a difference to the beer taste in my opinion. Limes with Coronas is standard, except they resorted to lemons when we had that lime shortage earlier this year. 🙂

    • its literally a gimmick. I think they are owned by coors and the person who created the beer did it to attract attention and be unique. I’m more of a traditionalist with Guinness, Bass, Harp, etc… so I’m not into some of these types of beers but its’ purely used as a talking point.
