Hand-cut fries topped with house-made gravy, fresh cheese curds, diced red onion and parsley. Happy hour $4
The Gerald, Seattle WA
Mmm, I love poutine! And The Gerald’s version is pretty darn tasty. The gravy is delicious and the fries are freshly fried, crispy on the outside and hot and fluffy on the inside. The pieces of cheese curds dotting the dish are nice lil’ treats!
Bobby Burns: scotch, vermouth, Benedictine. Happy hour $7
Manhattan. $9
The combination sounds great especially the red onions and cheese curds.
It’s a Canadian specialty that is starting to get more popular throughout the States.
Just tried it a couple weeks back in Canada after a hockey game.
It did not have red onion but I would have loved that!! It was really good.
You don’t like red onions!? π
Love them but in Canada she told us it’s just cheese and gravy on the fries.
Oh, I didn’t know that! Good thing, now I won’t commit a faux pas if I ever order one in Canada. π
I’ve always wanted to try poutine! π
We don’t have a lot of it in the States (unlike Canada), but it’s delicious!
