Pork fat, garlic, rosemary. $8

Delicious potatoes fried in pork fat – how can you go wrong?! They were still nice and fluffy inside and they tasted great with the garlic and rosemary flavors. Yum!

Italian sweet peppers, red onion, farro, pickled chili. $10
Tosca Cafe, San Francisco CA
These were really tasty, and I actually really liked the farro in there. They added a nice texture and flavor to the peppers. Overall, I enjoyed the food at Tosaca Cafe, but our server was off. I felt like were either gonna do it her way, or she wasn’t having it. The timing was really off and she would disappear for long chunks.

$8
Waxman’s Restaurant, San Francisco CA
These potatoes were delicious. I’m not sure how they were prepared, but I wouldn’t be surprised if duck fat was involved. Noms!

Wok sauteed farmers market green beans. $5
Chicken Ranch, Palm Springs CA
These were really salty, but they were still pretty good (although I couldn’t eat much of it because of the salt). I liked the ginger flavor and the green beans were really fresh and crisp.

Red fresno, capers, garlic, mint. $7
Cockscomb, San Francisco CA
Mmm, vegetables roasted in duck fat are pretty great tasting, hehe. I’m not one to normally order sides of vegetables, but they’re great when prepared like this! 🙂

Bernal Heights Hill Park.

8 oz. $5.25
Hill Country Barbecue, Washington DC
Omg, this was the cheesiest, most oozy, rich and delicious mac and cheese I’ve had in a long time! I almost want to say that it was TOO rich to finish but it tasted so good that I couldn’t stop myself. I mean, the cheese was still molten even after walking back to the office – good lord! And this is why I work out, people! LOL

Washington Monument.

Side $3.75
Baby Blues BBQ, San Francisco CA
Mmm, this version was so cheesy and delicious! The pasta was cooked well (slightly on the soft side) and they were large enough to hold plenty of cheese for each bite. Noms!

Olive oil, grana padano. $7
A16, San Francisco CA
Mmm, this polenta was SO wonderful. The exterior had a nice crust but the interior was still soft and luscious. The olive oil and cheese just gave it that much more flavor. Yum.
