Hokkaido scallop and shrimp risotto – Lavender Bistro

Hokkaido scallop and shrimp risotto - Lavender Bistro
Nanami togarashi seasoning, carnaroli rice, green sweet peas and shaved parmigiano reggiano. $25
Lavender Bistro, La Quinta CA

This risotto was really delicious and I loved its creamy texture and the slightly Asian flavors. The scallops were cooked nicely, but the shrimp were a bit overcooked.

Zardetto prosecco - Lavender Bistro
Zardetto, Proseco Dos Brut. Split $14

Seared duck breast and leg confit – Lavender Bistro

Seared duck breast and leg confit - Lavender Bistro
Baked spaghetti squash, braised Maui onions, sauteed Lollypod kale and orange peel amarena cherry sauce. $34
Lavender Bistro, La Quinta CA

I love duck, and when it’s cooked two ways, it’s even better! 🙂 This time around, I actually liked the seared duck breast better than the leg confit. I didn’t much care for the squash, but the sauce was delicious!

Breadsticks - Lavender Bistro
Breadsticks, butter and hummus. Complimentary

Foie gras creme brulee – Lavender Bistro

Foie gras creme brulee - Lavender Bistro
Poached pear, toast points. $16
Lavender Bistro, La Quinta CA

Mmm, this appetizer was SO delicious! I loved the silky texture of the foie gras mousse combined with the hard bruleed crust. I thought the toast points were a little tacky though (and definitely not enough of them for the amount of foie gras).

Cape Cod cocktail - Lavender Bistro
Cape Cod cocktail. $9
