Mmm, this large samosa was delicious! I outside was hot and flaky and the inside was soft and flavorful. A great yummy treat to accompany my lunch meal.

      • I have sent you a pot of ‘Welshman’s Cavier’ but forgot the card I’d written to enclose with it, which I just found! I hope it gets to you – think Japanese nori.

        • Yes, thanks for the wonderful surprise, Mr. Edible! I received it a week ago between trips and haven’t had the chance to try it yet, but I’m excited to do so. Is it traditionally eaten by itself or with other food?

          • I just got your message. I hope the WC was not too much of a disappointment. The traditional seaweed dish here is laverbread, not a bread but a gloopy mess of fresh boiled laver seaweed, an acquired taste. It was dubbed ‘the Welshman’s caviar’ by the Welsh actor and hedonist Richard Burton – I’m sure he made Liz Taylor try some on their many trips back to his homeland. WC is a new product which perhaps owes more to Japan that Wales. We’ve used it in scrambled eggs with great results.
