Belgian-style waffle filled with prosciutto and manchego cheese, topped with fried chicken drizzled with maple syrup/Makers Mark, blueberry, strawberry. $10.75
The Sycamore, San Francisco CA
This dish read much more exciting than it actually was. The chicken was actually chicken nuggets and each piece of waffle was actually just a quarter piece. The waffle itself wasn’t very Belgian-style either. It didn’t have the right texture and airiness. The whiskey maple syrup was also too sweet for my taste.Ā I was disappointed.

I’ve been meaning to try a dish with pancakes on it for sometime… this picture spurs me to on to IHOP this weekend š
Lol, IHOP is one of my guilty pleasures!
I have to try this!
It wasn’t the best. š¦
Hi, Just wanted to say that I enjoy your blog and thanks for liking the recipes on my blog too š
Thanks for stopping by! I really like your blog!
I have to say that I’ve only had chicken and waffles a couple of times, but both times it was a little disappointing. Same problem you had where it was like a quarter waffle and not enough chicken. I think maybe it’s a dish best had in the South where they still make it properly. ha!
Yeah, I’ve never had it in the South, but I will make it a point to remember for next time!
look at those maple syrup… nomm!!
Too sweet though…
