Peas, cheese, pancetta brown butter. 10-course chef’s tasting menu $75
Roxy’s Cafe, San Francisco CA
Omg, this was amazing! I loved that it had both a pea puree and whole peas. The pancetta added a wonderful smokiness, and the noodles had a beautiful texture. Noms!

House white wine.

Peas and pancetta go together so well! Yummy!
Yes, they certainly do!
That’s inspiring! I’m picturing something like that with spaghetti squash, veal, broccoli or olives (or both), and shredded coconut.
Are you 100% paleo all the time? Most of the food I prepare is paleo, but it’s a free-for-all when I go out. Hehe
100%! In fact, I’m fairly low-carb Paleo too. Obviously I pick up the carb intake during my race training in the summer (1 mile PR goal), but the rest of the year I keep it pretty low carb.
It can really be a challenge eating out.. Fortunately I enjoy a good challenge!
Wow, that’s awesome! I wish I had as much discipline. I guess for the most part, I do try and live a healthy lifestyle. π
And you eat some awesome food! π
Vincente – How neat that you had fresh peas in two forms – and textures. Pancetta brown butter? WOW – creative! The noodles appear homemade. Best – Shanna
Yeah, the noodles were homemade. And delicious!
Looks good! I haven’t been to Roxy’s Cafe yet, but it’s definitely on my list of must-try restaurants.
All the dishes were really creative and delicious!
