Spicy vegetable dumpling, beef dumpling, seafood dumpling, chive and shrimp dumpling, honey barbecued pork bun (char siu bun). Lunch prix fixe $25
Ping Pong, Washington DC
I appreciated the different colors and shapes of these dumplings and the fillings were pretty tasty too. What I didn’t appreciate was that they were over steamed so the wrappers were soft, mushy and gelatinous. The pork bun was good.

I don’t know how I feel about that blue/purple one! Ha
It’s just food coloring so you can easily tell them apart.
Such colorful dumplings!! never seen that before! (and you’re a long way from home!)
Yeah, usually they just vary the shapes so you can differentiate the fillings. Here they also add food coloring.
Twenty five Bucks? Or was this just a part of the menu???
Just part. 🙂
Otherwise I would have been pissed, lol!
LOL – Me, too! Whew!
Too bad! Those are really fun-looking!
Yeah, I liked the colors.
