I liked the presentation of this dish, but the calamari itself was over-fried and super dry! Yuck. I couldn’t get over that part. The tabasco remoulade was also pretty bland for being advertised as having hot sauce. It didn’t have to be super hot and spicy, but it could have at least had more flavor.

Lol, As I’m reading all your posts, you seem to be getting a lot of dried proteins lately. What’s going on? Dried beef, dried veal, dried calamari.

What a beautiful dish. Bummer that they over fried it though. Haha it sounds like your tabasco tasted more like ketchup disguised as tabasco? 😀 The edamame does look beautiful though, I think it could have made the dish better looking too if the calamari was laying on top of it? Just a thought 🙂
Yeah, this dish should have been a home run, but they sure messed it up by overcooking the squid. Or maybe it was frozen or of poor quality.
Yes that is very likely as well. I was in Okinawa, Japan for 3.5 years haha so I expect a lot when it comes to sea food especially squid :D. But certainly a bummer for such a beautiful dish.
