3 item combo - New Ming's Restaurant
Szechuan eggplant, cumin pork, garlic chicken and fried rice. $6.95
New Ming’s Restaurant, San Francisco CA

Ugh, this lunch was probably one of the unhealthiest things I can find near work. It was super oily and salty, but I still somehow crave horrible Chinese food. Dear god, why?! The eggplant was an oil slick, the cumin pork had so much fat, and the garlic chicken was really greasy. And everything tasted like msg. Ugh.

  1. Sadly I am right there with you. There are times I just have to have a greasy Chinese dish like chicken and cashews or chicken lo mein. Normally it’s steamed veggies and white rice but you need that treat once in a while!!

  2. Yes, you surprise me, Vincent! You post the most sophisticated and mouthwatering dishes than my being a vegan won’t allow me to “like”. But I can’t help drooling over your pics sometimes (most of the time). What happened? Did you move jobs to a new location where good food is scarce?? You know you can’t survive on that stuff!

    • Lol! I’ve actually moved job locations to downtown SF where there’s too many lunch choices so I’ve had to kiss a few frogs to find the gems. Previously, I posted mostly dinner meals when I didn’t have any lunch options. I do have an unnatural craving for cheap, salty, greasy Chinese food though. That will never change, lol!
