Arizona burger – Smashburger

Arizona burger - Smashburger
Habanero cheese, guacamole, lettuce, tomato, onion, chipotle mayo and fresh jalapeños on a spicy chipotle bun. $6.29
Smashfries tossed in Italian olive oil, rosemary and garlic. $1.99
Smashburger, Glendale AZ

This burger was pretty good. It was flavorful and the fresh jalapeños gave it a little kick. The fries were really great. I loved that they were cut really thin and they weren’t greasy either.

Double double burger “animal style with chiles” – In-N-Out Burger

Double double burger animal style with chiles - In-N-Out Burger
Two 100% pure beef patties, lettuce, tomato, spread, two slices of American cheese on a freshly baked bun.  Animal style with extra spread, pickles, and grilled onions. Add hot peppers. $3.80
In-N-Out Burger, Kettleman City CA

This is my newest way to order my In-N-Out burgers! Animal style with chiles, noms! These are super saucy and flavorful. One burger constitutes an entire for me. And I’m officially in eater heaven…

Hot dog pretzel – Auntie Anne’s

Hot dog pretzel - Auntie Anne's
Pretzel dough wrapped around a Nathan’s hot dog. $3.33
Auntie Anne’s, Ronald Reagan Washington National Airport (DCA)

This was disgusting! I actually like Auntie Anne’s normal pretzels, but wrap it around a hot dog and you get crap! The pretzel had a soggy, gross texture and was oddly bland. I thought that dipping it in one of their cheese sauce would help, but it just made it nauseating.

Ronald Reagan Washington National Airport. I do love their central hallway!

Shack Stack burger – Shake Shack

Shack Stack burger - Shake Shack
Cheeseburger with crisp-fried portobello mushroom filled with melted muenster and cheddar cheeses, topped with lettuce tomato and ShackSauce. $9.15
Shake Shack, Washington DC

Shack Stack burger - Shake Shack
Omg, this burger was REALLY great, and it was different enough to almost rival my love for In-N-Out (but not quite). The ‘shroom patty filled with melted cheese was absolute perfection! Yes, please!

Papa burger – A&W

Papa burger - A&W
Two beef patties, two slices American cheese, lettuce, tomato, onion, pickles, and A&W Papa sauce. $3.99
A&W, Charles Town WV

Wanna know something about me? I actually worked at an A&W in high school in Washington state, lol! I know a lot of disgusting things that happen in the fast food world, but it doesn’t stop me from eating there. This brings me back, hehe. I will say that I do like that A&W still serves it’s larger burgers in a box and doesn’t squish them and wrap them in the paper. This burger was decent, but I do love their Papa sauce. 🙂

Chicken strips combo – Roy Rogers

Chicken strips combo - Roy Rogers
3 pieces, mashed potatoes, regular soda. $6.19
Roy Rogers, Ranson WV

Mmm, I liked these chicken strips. The breading was tasty and it wasn’t greasy. The mashed potatoes and gravy were tasty, and I also liked their bbq dipping sauce. This was my first time at a Roy Rogers and I’ll say that it was pretty good.

Little cheeseburger – Five Guys

Little cheeseburger - Five Guys
“All the way”, no mustard and with jalapeño peppers and green peppers. $4.69
Five Guys, Ranson WV

This burger was good, but I prefer In-N-Out. Yes I’m from the west coast, but this burger wasn’t as juicy and flavorful as an In-N-Out burger. And we actually have Five Guys on the west coast now so the comparison is warranted.

French fries - Five Guys
French fries. Regular $3.39
Definitely not better than In-N-Out.

Chicken and fish combo – Long John Silver’s

Chicken and fish combo - Long John Silver's
Served with fries, 2 hushpuppies, and drink.
Long John Silver’s, Charles Town WV

I was a bit confused when I received this because I couldn’t tell which piece was fish and which was the chicken. They looked exactly the same. And oddly enough, they tasted the same too, and were disgustingly greasy. I don’t think I’ll ever order this again or even return to a Long John Silver’s. Even the hushpuppies were super greasy. At least the fries were good.
