I liked this. I enjoyed the texture of the dough exterior and the cabbage ragout was different and tasty. I liked that the cabbage wasn’t overcooked and still and some bite to it. $4

I had to do a double take! It was so fun to see this. Here in the Midwest the same sandwich is called a Beirock and is often know as the Runza – a chain that popularized these in Nebraska. I have a home-made version on my blog – http://frugalhausfrau.com/2013/05/28/may-26-2013-runzas-12-for-about-4-20/
Mmm, yours look amazing!
Thanks! It was such a small population of Volga immigrants that came to the midwest that I’m surprised anyone else had even heard of them – of course, I’m sure some settled elsewhere, too, obviously!
🙂
Looks delicious!
Their beef and cheese flavor are supposed to be amazing. They were out when I visited.
Love the paper package too!
