This dessert was grocery store quality. Ugh, especially disappointing because I love good tiramisu.

  1. It looks really, really stiff. I’m having a lot of fun following your blog and seeing your posts, even though I’m in a different state altogether. See, I get so pissed off when I eat out and the food isn’t good – and I’ve had discussions with other people who basically say, “Well you cook, so you hold it to a higher standard.” Which I think is a stupid thing to say because 1) I don’t think I do, I just want something that tastes good and 2) a professional should be able to cook food that’s better than mine, or at least as good, especially since I’m paying for the expertise, right?

I mean really, dinner out should be ended with more than, “Well, at least I didn’t have to do the dishes…”

So I feel affirmed when I see what you’re running in to!

    • Thanks for following my blog, btw! And I completely agree with your sentiment. I eat out because I want to experience the expertise and creativity that a professional chef/cook can provide. I can make marginal/ordinary food myself. People get paid to do their job and chefs/cooks are no different. And if I don’t like your product, I’m happy to take my business elsewhere.
