Beef cheeks- El Willy
Cooked for 6 hours, pumpkin and truffle. ¥80
El Willy, Shanghai CHINA

These tender cheeks were placed atop a fried roll of some kind and surrounded by soft polenta. The flavors were great and the beef wonderfully cooked.

Gambas al ajillo - El Willy
Sauteed shrimp with garlic and chili. ¥88
El Willy, Shanghai CHINA

These shrimp were pretty large and yummy. I loved the deep garlic flavor, although they were a bit overcooked and verging on tough. I did like the cute presentation though.

Charcoal grilled striploin - El Willy
Truffle potatoes and rosemary jus. ¥98
El Willy, Shanghai CHINA

I’m actually not 100% sure if I identified this dish correctly since we tried so many things that night, but I think I did. Anyway, I do remember that the meat was tender and very flavorful.

Croquetas de jamon - El Willy
Iberian ham croquettes. ¥98
El Willy, Shanghai CHINA

These were wonderful! They had a soft molten center that tasted amazing. The exterior was fried perfectly and they were just packed with flavor!

Patatas bravas - El Willy
Potatoes in spicy sauce. ¥50
El Willy, Shanghai CHINA

I like aioli, but this amount was a bit overboard! You had to wade through that pile of aioli to actually get to the potatoes underneath (it kinda grossed me out). The potatoes were great though as was the aioli. I just wish there was less of it.

Sardinillas - El Willy
Baby sardines, escalivada lemon, charred garlic sprouts and crispy bread. ¥95
El Willy, Shanghai CHINA

Mmm, these were super tasty. The little sardines tasted great with the smoky bell peppers and charred garlic sprouts while the crispy bread added the needed crunch.

Pan con tomate - El Willy
Bread topped with crushed tomatoes, side of olives. Complimentary

This was a great way to start the meal, with complimentary pan con tomate. The tomato topping was flavorful and delicious and you can never go wrong with yummy olives!
