Beef with bell pepper, basil and coconut milk cooked in panang curry sauce. $12.95
Thai Thani Kitchen, Seattle WA
This curry had a good flavor, but the slices of beef were pretty tough and difficult to chew. The unincorporated coconut milk on top also threw me off. I don’t think it looked very appetizing.
Yeah it looks a bit weird! Did you find a really good Thai in Seattle?
When I lived in Seattle, I actually never had a favorite Thai restaurant. There was once a hole-the-wall restaurant in the U-District when I went to college, but it’s since been gone. I’m not sure where the good Thai places in Seattle are these days. 😦
It seems to be really hard to find a good Thai place in the US?! D:
There are some decent places, but nothing really authentic. When I was is Thailand, I loved the food and it definitely tasted different from what they serve here in the states. I will say that Little Serow in DC (photos to come when I catch up with my backlog) was exceptional. I don’t think the food was that authentic, but it was Thai dishes that I’ve never seen anywhere else in the US. They were inventive, used awesome uncommon ingredients, and actually spicy!
Oh… OK. That Little Serow place sounds interesting. I guess it might be modern Thai?
You’re right, it looks messy, I’d do better myself!
Frankly, it look unappetizing with the white goop on top.
