For my third month of Foodie Penpals, I received a package from Joanna at Midwestern Bite Blog. She’s in Ohio and sent me some awesome regional goodies! Thanks, Joanna!

Here’s what she mailed to me:

The “Killer Brownie” was definitely killer! It was so decadent and delicious. It had everything that I love in a brownie – walnuts, chewy texture, caramel sauce! Noms! It’s no wonder that Joanna describes this brownie as THE sweet treat in her town that everyone knows and loves. The honey sticks were also another sweet addition.

I’m super excited to try the hot pepper butter which is from Amish country. She suggests using it on sandwiches – will do! The peppermint candy is also from Amish country and it looks SO cute. And I can’t forget about the Cincinnati style chili seasoning. I’ve never had Cincinnati style chili so you know I’m gonna make this soon!

For my second month of Foodie Penpals, I received a package from Mitzi in Georgia! From my emails with her, I can tell that she’s an amazing woman who is a cancer survivor along with her mom and friend. I am truly honored to receive her shipment with an important message for cancer awareness. Thanks, Mitzi!

This special edition of Food Should Taste Good chips help spread the word about cancer awareness and supports a company dedicated to the fight against breast cancer. I’ve had these before and they’re SO tasty and better for you than regular chips.

For my first month as a Foodie Penpal, I sent a box of San Francisco treats to a woman in Orem, Utah and received a box from Annica at AnnicaNicole Blog, a student at the University of Missouri. Thanks for all the goodies, Annica!

I’ve actually never seen most of the products before, except the KIND bars, so I’m super excited to try them. The one item I’m a little hesitant about is the pumpkin butter because I’m not a huge pumpkin fan and I’m not really sure how to use it, lol! I’m guessing that I should use it as a spread on yummy breads and other baked goods.

I’m also tickled over the Simply Melt yogurt flavored dipping wafers. All you have to do is microwave the container and you instantly have a dipping suace for fruits or salty snacks! I never knew this product even existed! Can’t wait to see what I get next month, yay!
