I’m not a foodie, I just like to eat.
This blog consists of iPhone pics chronicling what I love most – EATING! I started taking photos of my food in 2011 and shortly started blogging afterward. I eventually included random pics of the local areas just for fun.
I consider Vittle Monster more of a “food journal” than a traditional “food blog”. I enjoy going out with great company and eating amazing food. While I’m not a food expert, I know my likes and dislikes and will share them openly. This blog helps me recount some of my favorite dining experiences (and a lot of the bad ones, hehe).
I’m also not a professional photographer but I do what I can with my worn but trusty iPhone. None of the pics are digitally enhanced or edited, hence a lot of dark and blurry shots but I also refuse to use a flash in dark restaurants (I have personal limits, lol). Please respect my ownership of all the content on this blog, and feel free to contact me with any questions.

I have to ask you what is your favorite food? I was raised in South San Francisco and your blog really makes me miss home while living in Nicaragua.
I honestly don’t have a “favorite” food since I love trying new things. What I do have are “favorite” meals! I’m a firm believer that the company and/or surroundings/circumstances can truly elevate a meal to the point of vivid recollection.
I agree completely. What’s one of your favorite meals. You have so many amazing food photos I take your advice very seriously.
I’ll always remember the pre fixe dinner at Mistral (Seattle), my first really amazing meal when I first moved to San Francisco at Jardiniere, random bistro dinners in Rome, dim sum in the ginormous banquet hall-type restaurants in the Sydney’s Chinatown, my previous birthday dinner at Benu (SF).

I think you’ve inspired me. I’ve done a little reviewing of unusual soft drinks in Japan, and the occasional picture of food I’ve eaten, but I may actually do some full reviews of food I’ve eaten in restaurants in Japan. I just don’t know which blog to put it on 🙂

Charleston is very charming and there’s plenty to do and eat! I enjoy the easy combination of history and relaxed modern living present there.
